Volunteer Opportunities at the learning gardens

Local Volunteers

This is for those that live in proximity to the learning gardens, who want to come out for day trips to help volunteer. Connect with us to coordinate time(s) to come volunteer at the learning gardens.

Short term Volunteers

This is for those that want to come visit and stay at the learning for up to a week.  Volunteers are expected to contribute at least 14 hours of volunteer work a week, or 2 hours a day during shorter stays. Sometimes for some projects we may ask for help at a specific time, and sometimes volunteer hours can be completed at your own pace.  There is limited primitive lodging, so for those able it is encouraged to come prepared with your own tent or vehicle to stay in. Volunteers are able to access the outdoor kitchen which usually has some staples available. and the outhouse in the learning gardens area.

Long term Volunteers

Volunteers must first complete a one week short term volunteer stay, after that volunteers can then apply to stay for a longer term. If you get accepted for a longer term volunteer stay, a specialized agreement will be written up outlining expectations
